A bit about my dreams

Everyone has different experiences with their dreams and usually, they can vary every night. One night you can have a fun lucid adventure and the next night you won't even remember dreaming. They are a very peculiar thing. Here I will explain my experiences and how they impact my daydreams.

My dreams are usually pretty vivid unless I am particularly exhausted. I experience emotions just like it was a casual day, ranging from happiness to sadness to sometimes anxiety or panic.
My senses react to certain parts, example: eating a sweet bun, simillar to a twinkie, and tasting the milky cream inside it, touching a wooden table, getting a splint and feeling the sharpness of it in my finger. Some senses, other than vision, work better than others.
Since dreams usually mirror memories, they also mirror the way I remember - feelings, sounds and touch are the most prominent other than vision.

Some people make fun of how their dreams don't make any sense, which is valid, I also have weird dreams sometimes, but my dreams are mostly quite realistic. Playing out almost like a movie, one setting, some minor twists in story and characters. The only thing that can be a bit awkward are the transitions between scenes, if there are any major changes in the setting. One thing I really love is the fact that some dreams overlap.
Sometimes I have reocurring buildings and characters in them. Right in the dreams I realize that I met that someone or saw that building in my other dream. It can be a pretty funny experience.

How dreams affect me

These little adventures can be amazing, a lot of them are, believe me, I would love to go back to them and relive these experiences again, but it all comes whith a cost. That is energy. After I wake up from certain vivid dreams I feel exhausted, it feels like not sleeping would be a better option sometimes. And honestly, it feels better to pull and all nighter than to feel the fatigue after particular vivid dreams. Another thing is waking up throughout the night. Be it because of the emotions from the dreams or just insomnia. I had nights when I would wake up 7 times, though they are pretty rare, thankfully. My dreams kinda take up memory space in my brain, I can remember up to 6 dreams if I don't wake up. It depends on the context and vividness of the dream.

Examples of some dreams I had

I was a boy running from some kind of hunters, they ambushed me at a drug store where they tried to kidnap me. One of the employees called the security, saving me. Me and the other boy became acquaintances, he helped me hide. Unfortunately, he also became a target of the hunters. We had to find a place to stay, so we walked the streets aimlessly until the hunters showed up and starter chasing us. I think if I remember correctly, the took some swings at us, injuring us in the end, though we managed to escape. It was a very close call. I wanted to get some of my stuff from the flat I lived in, only to find it guarded by them. We hid under their car to get better vision, unfortunately, one of them noticed us and dragged us from under the car. The other guy decidet to pose as a distraction while I parkoured around the building to get my stuff back. It all ended well with me jumping out of the window onto a tree and running away with the other. The last scene was us buying stuff from Coop jednota to eat. It was also a shope where his mum worked at.

I was in my room, freshly woken up. The light was shining through the curtains, evening light iluminating the room in a soft orange glow. Nothing seemed amiss until I caught a glimpse of what was outside. I slowly turned my head around to face it, my heart rate picked up the pace, breath coming out short, I stared in horror at the creature outside. A feeling of impending doom screwed me to the ground, I couldn't move. On the horizon, loomed a giant dark figure with a glowing eye in the middle of it's head. It was so huge that it was only visible from torso up, it almost seemed to be holding the entire earth it it's hands. Something told me to not look at it, only on the floor, otherwise bad things would happen, possibly death. I walked out of my room only to find my parents in the living room, unconcerned at what was happening. My mum looked at me with a smile and said "It's that time of the day."

There are a lot more but it would take ages to write them down. I know they sound crazy, but they hundred percent happened. The second one still sends shivers down my spine.
