Creating a more conducive atmosphere for studying.

“The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as we continue to live.” – Mortimer Adler

Have a study room

Many people use their bedrooms, comfortable couch or even their bed for studying. But when your bed is near, it is a signal for your body that you will soon go to sleep and so it switches to slow mode. Luckily, you can use this fact in your own advantage. When you have a room just for studying, the moment you get there your mind set a study mood and boosts your brain so your learning is much more effective. Useful alternative to this is a study lamp - you turn it on just when you study - but it is less efficient.

Consider the lighting of your workspace

Light is what keeps you awake and aware. Ideal situation is your desk lit by the sun. But we all know that is seldom the case. Therefore it is necessary to use a lamp with bright light. Do not read in poor light conditions - besides making you feel sleepy it also overstrains your eyes.

Give your brain some air

Ventilate your room regularly even in winter months. Oxygen is indispensable for your body to do work flawlessly and use its full potential.

Diminish distractions

Apart from mobile phone also people around you can be a huge distraction. Try to avoid talking to them while studying and asked them for privacy and silence. Another thing you should take into account is your desk. While messy desk is conducive to creative ideas and new inventions, clear desk has been proven to be the best option when it comes to logical thinking and remembering information.
